This report on their work, prepared to document the need for a budget request from the U.S. Agency for International Development, describes the achievement and prospects in programs relating to three general concepts: functional literacy, food production, and family welfare planning. Other topics covered are training programs for literacy personnel (teachers, librarians, etc.); preparation of publications and audiovisual materials; maintenance of the central library and smaller mobile libraries; field work; and description of the physical facilities, administration, and personnel of Literacy House.
