contents The dataset contains information on microplastics particle morphology from microplastic particles extracted from a sediment core from Disko Bay, Greenland. The microplastic particle morphology is based on the length to diameter ratio of the major and minor dimensions (obtained from sIMPle software and µ-FTIR data). Particles were categorized as fiber-like if the ratio was > 3 (Fiber = Y) and as fragment-like if the ratio was < 3 (Fiber = N). The dataset also includes information on polymer type, lead-210 year, sediment layer (Depth), major and minor dimensions (µm) and size class (small or large). This datasets is complementary to https://doi.pangaea.de/10.1594/PANGAEA.972635, https://doi.pangaea.de/10.1594/PANGAEA.972712, and the limits of detection are in https://doi.pangaea.de/10.1594/PANGAEA.972709.
