contents Here, we present high-resolution Pleistocene sea surface temperature record using the alkenone palaeothermometry. These records were obtained from International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Site U1542, located ~30 nautical miles off the Chilean coast in reach of the southward flowing Cape Horn Current, the northernmost branch of the Antarctic circumpolar current entering the Drake Passage.
