| contents | This dataset includes aerial survey data products from the Bayelva basin (Brøggerhalvøya, Svalbard), including a Digital Surface Model (DSM) with a spatial resolution 15 cm, red-green-blue (RGB) and near-infrared (NIR) orthomosaics with a spatial resolution of 10 cm, and a thermal infrared orthomosaic (TIR) with a spatial resolution of 50 cm. The products originate from aerial images taken on 13 September 2020 during the SeaIce Summer 2020 – MOSAiC campaign. These images were taken with the MACS-Polar20, an aerial camera system developed by the DLR on board the AWI Polar-6 aircraft. The flight lines were flown with >60% x-track overlap and >80% in-track overlap. We used Pix4D for the photogrammetric processing of the images into DSM and orthomosaics. During our quality control of the DSM, we removed areas with insufficient overlap. The resulting DSM covers approximately 7.7 km^2 within the Bayelva basin. In contrast, RGB and NIR include the entire available data set of approximately 21.6 km^2 and the orthomosaic TIR 18.1 km^2. |
