Fernández Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas TaTe CuInTe2 solid solution ray diffraction phase transition The crystal structure of (CuInTe2)1−x(TaTe)x (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) alloy system prepared by the usual melt and anneal technique have been studied by the x-ray diffraction technique, and lattice parameters were obtained. A single phase behavior was observed in the composition range 0 < x < 2/3. This single phase was indexed as a chalcopyrite-like structure. For 2/3 < x < 3/4 another unknown phase is observed together with the chalcopyrite-like phase. This new phase is clearly observed in samples x= 5/6 and 6/7, but it cannot be indexed because of their multiphase behavior.
