- <p>The paper describes the investigations on the effects of using alternative carbon sources in the Electric Arc Furnace, which have been carried out via industrial trials and complementary simulations employing a flowsheet model of the entire electric route in the context of the project entitled "<em>Gradual integration of REnewable non-fossil ENergy sources and modular HEATing technologies in EAF for progressive CO2 decrease</em>" (Ref GreenHeatEAF - Grant Agreement No. 101092328). The project received funding from the European Union through the Horizon Europe programme.</p>
