- <p>The article deals with the issue of external testing of pupils with special educational needs, with a narrower focus on pupils with physical disabilities. In the theoretical part, we provide an overview of current legislative and methodological guidelines and directives that regulate the conditions and course of testing pupils with special educational needs. In the practical part, through observation, document analysis, and interviews, we examine and analyze the conditions and course of external testing and compare the conditions of paper-based external testing with the possibilities of electronic external testing, with an emphasis on effectiveness, advantages, and disadvantages. The aim is to indicate the direction that testing policy in the area of external testing could take, its implementation, and proposals for possible adjustments to the conditions for external testing for students with physical disabilities at the national level.</p>
