•
This study explores workload pressures and stress management strategies among educational leaders, focusing on their challenges, coping mechanisms, and potential interventions. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining survey data and thematic analysis to uncover key stressors and strategies. Findings reveal that excessive administrative tasks, time constraints, and organizational challenges such as role ambiguity and limited support are the primary contributors to stress. These stressors negatively affect leaders' mental and physical well-being, resulting in fatigue, emotional strain, and diminished job satisfaction. Demographic data from the participants highlight diverse profiles in terms of age, gender, and tenure. Younger leaders often face adaptation challenges, while experienced leaders deal with burnout from prolonged responsibilities. Most participants, particularly female leaders, report difficulties in balancing professional and personal demands. Recommendations include increasing administrative support, defining roles clearly, and providing professional development on stress management techniques. Participants also identified effective personal coping strategies, including time management, peer support, mindfulness, and self-care practices, to mitigate stress. These findings emphasize the importance of combining organizational interventions, such as fostering a supportive culture and addressing resource limitations, with personal resilience-building approaches. By addressing both structural and individual needs, institutions can improve the well-being, resilience, and productivity of educational leaders, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of educational management and fostering a healthier work environment.
