This species can be separated from other members of <i>acerbus</i> group by the following combination: superior volsella with a rounded apical extension, digitus well developed, median volsella reaching apex of superior volsella but not inferior volsella, gonostylus abruptly tapered and curved apically (Wang & Zheng, 1993; Wang & Guo, 2004).</p><p>Distribution. China (Guangdong, Taiwan), India, Indonesia.</p>
