- <p><b><i>Polana</i> (<i>Nihilana</i>) <i>pravida</i> DeLong & Foster, 1982 comb. nov.</b></p><p><i>Polana</i> (<i>Polana</i>) <i>pravida</i> DeLong & Foster, 1982: 324.</p><p><b>Remarks.</b> The median processes of the aedeagal shaft were originally described as follows: “A long slender process arises each side near middle of shaft and extends to the apex”. Therefore <i>P. pravida</i> lacks processes at the base of the aedeagus. Following the key to subgenera provided by DeLong & Freytag (1972), this species cannot be placed in the subgenus <i>Polana</i>.</p><p>DeLong & Wolda (1982) described five species of <i>Polana,</i> placing them in the subgenera <i>Nihilana</i>, <i>Polana</i>, and <i>Polanana.</i> However, the three species placed in the subgenus <i>Polana</i>, <i>P. tinae</i>, <i>P. divesita</i>, and <i>P. julna</i> lack processes on the pygofer and base of aedeagus, as shown in the descriptions and illustrations provided. Therefore, the three species are transferred to the subgenus <i>Polanana</i>:</p>
