- <p>The present study aimed to investigate the phytochemical composition of Argemone mexicana L. <br>(Svarnakshiri) flowers. Phytochemical screening revealed the presence of bioactive compounds, <br>including tannins, saponins, flavonoids, phenols, reducing sugars, and alkaloids, in the hydroethanolic <br>extract of the flowers. Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) profiling further confirmed the complexity <br>of the phytochemical composition, with multiple spots detected in different solvent systems. The <br>findings of this study suggest that A. mexicana flowers possess a rich phytochemical profile, which may <br>be responsible for their traditional medicinal uses and warrants further investigation for potential <br>therapeutic applications.</p>
