- <p>A new module entitled CS_DUGKS was developed within the framework of Code_Saturne, an open-source CFD software, to solve the Boltzmann-BGK equation using a discrete velocity approach. CS_DUGKS utilizes the discrete unified gas kinetic scheme to reconstruct the flux of the finite volume discretization of the Boltzmann-BGK equation. Three collisional models were implemented into CS_DUGKS. CS_DUGKS was calibrated against two-dimensional cavity flows and rarefied Couette flows. Scaling tests conducted on ARCHER2 indicate that the developed module retains the excellent parallel performance of Code_Saturne.</p>
