- <p>Relevance of the research topic. The assessment and research of production potential is<br>essential for the success of any enterprise. The effective use of this potential contributes to increased<br>productivity, reduced costs and improved competitiveness.<br>Formulation of the problem. In today’s world, where technologies are rapidly developing, innovation<br>plays a key role. Enterprises that actively implement innovations have more opportunities for growth<br>and development. Therefore, it is important not only to assess, but also to effectively manage the<br>production potential of innovation–oriented enterprises to ensure their stable functioning and<br>development in conditions of change. These features are clearly expressed in the agri–food sector of<br>Ukraine, which makes the topic of the study relevant.<br>Setting the purpose and objectives of the study – to investigate methods of assessment and tools<br>for increasing the efficiency of management of the production potential of innovatively active enterprises.<br>Research method or methodology. The following methods were used in the article: monographic,<br>abstract–logical, analysis and synthesis, economic–mathematical, systematization.<br>Presentation of the main material (research results). Research allows comparing statistical<br>data, ranking, modeling and forecasting production processes at different levels of the economy, as<br>well as assessing the efficiency of potential use and identifying reserves for growth. The analysis is<br>carried out regularly to take into account changes in competitive conditions and internal environmental<br>factors, which contributes to building a model for managing competitive advantages.<br>Field of application of results. The results of the study can be used for: state authorities of various<br>levels and local governments – to form and adjust strategies for the socio–economic development of<br>regions and the country, develop programs to support innovatively active enterprises; managers of<br>innovatively oriented enterprises – to make informed management decisions to increase the efficiency<br>of the use of production potential, develop enterprise development strategies; scientists and experts<br>– to conduct further research in the field of assessment and management of production potential,<br>develop new methods and models.<br>Conclusions on the article. A methodological approach has been developed to determine a<br>general indicator of economic potential, which is based on the interrelation and interaction of different<br>assessment levels. The results of the study indicate a significant reserve of potential of enterprises and<br>provide a qualitative assessment of the level of their economic development. For further analysis,<br>it is proposed to use the method of analytical hierarchies of Thomas Saati and the logistic model of<br>Verhulst for modeling the economic growth of enterprises at the micro level.</p>
