- <p><em><span>Fertilizers have a key role to play in transforming agriculture. Adoption of improved seeds, fertilizers and irrigation systems has led to a significant increase in food production in Indian agriculture. Both chemical and organic fertilizers increase agricultural production. The use of fertilizers in agriculture and the development of agriculture depends on crop productivity, irrigation methods, soils properties and crop characteristics. A recent study investigated the geographical distribution of agricultural fertilizer use in Sangli district of Maharashtra. The data required for this research was taken from the Socio-Economic Analysis of Sangli District 2023-24. Q-GIS software was used to prepare the data. Significant regional disparities in fertilizer use were found.</span></em></p>
