- <p><strong>ENCORE: Crash Course</strong></p> <p>The ENCORE Crash Course is designed <strong>for teachers, academics, and trainers</strong> who want a <strong>fast-paced, hands-on introduction</strong> to Open Educational Resources (OER), Open Educational Practices (OEPs), DGE Competences and the ENCORE approach. This concise yet impactful learning experience combines interactive H5P modules with practical exploration of the ENCORE platform, allowing participants to engage with real-world scenarios and develop their own open teaching strategies.</p> <p>Through a scenario-based design approach, educators will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Gain a foundational understanding of OER, OEPs, and the ENCORE methodology.</p> </li> <li> <p>Explore interactive H5P modules that illustrate key concepts and applications.</p> </li> <li> <p>Apply their knowledge in practical activities, leveraging ENCORE to design open and flexible learning experiences.</p> </li> <li> <p>Reflect on the role of open education in their professional practice and institutional contexts.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>This approach consists of about 3 h of in-person and 7h of self-guided learning activities.</strong></p> <p>Specifically, as part of this record, you will find:</p> <ol> <li> <p>The <strong>Moodle backup file</strong> (<em>backup-erasmus-plus_encore+_crash course.mbz</em>), with all the tools and activities needed for implementation.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Presentation Faculty version:</strong> Introduction to the theories and practices underlying faculty and student adoption of OERs, enriched with real case studies and practical links to key ENCORE resources, questionnaires, and various templates.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Presentation VET version</strong>: A second presentation elaborating on DGE competencies and on the DigComp Framework and reflection on how to promote these competencies through the integration of OER into professional learning activities.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>The ENCORE system in brief</strong>: An overview of the H5P about exploration of the ENCORE system and platform, with real examples from European partners and hands-on activities to discover its functionality.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Use Cases</strong>: An overview of the H5P about two real-life learning scenarios with activities to think about adaptation to participants' teaching contexts.</p> </li> <li><strong>Create your case!</strong>: A small overview of the hands-on activity to design an open course or training program, using OpenMed templates and refining their drafts with ENCORE's OER navigation and design guidelines.</li> </ol> <p>The<strong> backup</strong> allows users to easily restore the course to their Moodle platform. To import the course, follow these steps:</p> <ol> <li>Access your <strong>Moodle</strong> platform as an administrator.</li> <li>Navigate to <strong>Site Administration > Courses > Restore Course</strong>.</li> <li>Upload the provided backup file (.mbz) and follow the guided process to complete the restoration.</li> </ol> <p>This ensures seamless integration and accessibility, enabling educators and trainers to leverage the course in their own teaching contexts.<br><br>This material is complementary to the documents produced and finalized by the UNIPD team and validated by project partners (ENCORE Pedagogical Guidelines and Training Materials for Staff Development), available on the <a href="https://project-encore.eu/"><strong>ENCORE project website</strong></a> and archived in the <a href="https://www.research.unipd.it/"><strong>UNIPD Research Archive</strong></a> via the IRIS platform.<br><strong>If you happen to use and adapt the material to your own situations, please share your experiences with us!
