- <p>The populated areas of the Vanuatu are created from built-up areas (<span lang="EN-NZ">HOTOSM, 2022</span>) where the population of the smallest census unit (<span lang="EN-NZ">VNSO, 2021</span>) is effectively concentrated. The methodology follows the one proposed in Thomas et al.
