•
Bangladesh as a profound rupture in the nation’s political consciousness—shifting from ideology-driven mobilizations to pragmatic, dignity-based resistance. Drawing on modern-secular upheaval, agrarian decline, digital identity, and institutional betrayal, this study examines the transformation of rural-urban lifeworlds, youth disillusionment, and the rise of pragmatic subjectivities. It critiques elite historiography, exposes the performative limits of state narratives about identity and role models, and argues for a grounded, post-symbolic collective consciousness rooted in lived realities. Through a practice-oriented lens, the article repositions the journey of a new generation of Bangladeshis as a turning point in how they perceive themselves.
