- Thermoset matrices transform from liquid to rubber to solid during processing. Many composites processing simulation researchers have used Young's Modulus and Poisson's Ratio to describe the matrix transformation. Here we argue strongly that the bulk and shear moduli are much appropriate and correct properties to characterize and use.
