Syntype of <i>C. biroi</i>, CASENT 0916710, ANTC44062 (HNHM Budapest).</p><p><b>Literature.</b> Type – Forel (1907) [<i>Cerapachys</i> (<i>Syscia</i>) <i>biroi</i>].</p><p><b>Localities.</b> MacRitchie; Mandai; Pearl’s Hill City Park.</p><p><b>Habitat/Ecology.</b> Both mature and young secondary forests, also cultivated land in urban or semi-urban settings such as parks. Nests were often found in soil under rocks, or in old rotten logs typically filled with soil or abandoned termite nest residue. Individuals were sometimes collected from leaf litter.</p><p><b>Remarks.</b> Type locality in Singapore.</p>
