- <p>Vespid wasps are belongs to family Vespidae. It plays an important role in the environment. The diversity of the<br>family Vespidae was studied from June 2022 to December 2023. This study was done in Khatav tehsil of Satara<br>District of Maharashtra. During the present study a total of 112 wasp individuals were collected. Vespid wasps<br>belong to three subfamilies and ten genera. The study shows the presence of three subfamilies Vespinae, Eumeninae and Polistinae of the family Vespidae. Subfamily Polistinae and Eumeninae are the most diverse and abundant subfamilies, followed by vespinae. </p>
