Vermicompost, an organic fertilizer produced through the breakdown of organic waste by earthworms, offers a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to restore soil health. This article examines the composition of vermicompost and its beneficial effects on soil ecology, including enhanced microbial activity, improved soil structure, and increased nutrient availability. Through examples and case studies from different regions, the role of vermicompost in boosting crop yields, reducing environmental pollution, and supporting ecological restoration is highlighted. Despite certain challenges in large-scale application, vermicomposting holds significant promise for sustainable soil management and environmental protection.
