Aurkibidea:
 •
This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on improving student learning outcomes in the IPAS subject of fourth-grade students at SDN 6 Sindue. The research used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, specifically the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population and sample in this study were all fourth-grade students totaling 19 students, consisting of 6 boys and 13 girls. Data were collected using pretest and posttest written tests, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, paired sample t-tests, and normalized gain (N-Gain) tests with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The results showed that the average pretest score was 46.32 and the posttest average increased to 77.37. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. In addition, the N-Gain score was 0.6189, which is categorized as moderate. These findings indicate that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model has a positive and significant effect on improving student learning outcomes in the IPAS subject. Therefore, the PBL model can be recommended as an alternative learning model in elementary schools to enhance student understanding and engagement.
