- <div> <div>Malaria is still a major cause of public health problems in several tropical and subtropical countries. High malaria transmission is found in forest fringe areas in South America (Brazil), Southeast Asia (Thailand and Indonesia, especially in Papua). The hidden dangers of malaria in addition to causing outbreaks also reduce human immunity. This community service uses a quantitative method with a purposive sampling design. The community service location was in Samau Village, Biak City District, Biak Numfor Regency, Papua. The aim is to transfer the role of adolescent self-care in preventing malaria. The community service population was 70 respondents. The community service material was self-care and home environment, the substance of physical, chemical, biological, social environmental care, because it is a breeding ground for mosquitoes that spread malaria. The data analysis used univariate. The community service results showed that the level of understanding of the material, the first stage of the indicator was lacking (25%), the second stage of the indicator was moderate (45%), and the third stage of the role transfer in empowerment of the indicator was good (75%). The average attendance rate was 95.7%. The conclusion is the level of empowerment readiness for the transfer of self-care roles to malaria prevention, with an average attendance rate of 95.7%. The level of understanding of the material is 75%, a good indicator. The recommendation of the results of the community service is that adolescents are readyto carry out empowerment, with ongoing supervision from health workers</div> </div>
