•
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics into educational systems represents a trans-formative paradigm shift in global education, with particular significance for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. This paper examines the current state, opportunities, challenges, and future directions for implementing AI and robotics into physics education in Nigeria. Through an analysis of recent initiatives, technological infrastructure, and educational policies, this study identifies key barriers to adoption including inadequate infrastructure, limited resources, and insufficient teacher training. However, emerging pilot programmes demonstrate significant potential for AI-enhanced learning, with students showing accelerated learning outcomes. The paper proposes a strategic framework for sustainable integration of AI and robotics in physics education in Nigeria, emphasizing the need for public-private partnerships, teacher capacity building, and gradual implementation strategies. The findings suggest that while challenges exist, the strategic adoption of AI and robotics could revolutionize physics education in Nigeria, enhancing students’ engagement, improving learning outcomes, and preparing students for the digital economy.

Keywords: Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Physics Education, STEM Education, Educational Technology
