Laboratory rearings indicate that the larvae of this species probably feed and develop quickly on small operculate snails (Bittium, Cingula, and Hydrobia). In laboratory rearings, some larvae developed to puparia on several genera of nonoperculate freshwater snails, but other larvae died before pupariation.
