- <p><b>59. <i>Notylia platyglossa</i> Schlechter (1914: 125).</b></p><p><b>Type</b>:— BRAZIL. Amazonas: São Francisco rubber tree plantation, Upper Acre River, September 1911, <i>E. Ule 9264</i> (B destroyed). Neotype (designated by Oliveira <i>et al</i>. in press: BRAZIL. Amazonas: Humaitá, Floresta Nacional de Humaitá, 12 October 2014, <i>T.E. Almeida & R.S. Oliveira 3549</i> (INPA 263164!).</p><p><b>Notes:</b> — Schlechter (1914) described <i>N. platyglossa</i> based on in the collection of E. Ule 9264, though did not report the herbarium where the deposit occurred. The B and HBG herbaria are recognized as the most representative in E. Ule collections (Borges <i>et al</i>. 2018). It is believed that the original material was destroyed in the B herbarium during World War II (Butzin 1978, 1980). Oliveira <i>et al</i>. (in press) designated a neotype and elucidate the taxonomic identity of the species and its relationships to the complex <i>Notylia platyglossa</i> Schlechter.</p>
