This article analyzes the factors that affect the decision-making process, the challenges faced by management and teaching staff, as well as effective strategies for optimal management. The emphasis is on the importance of collective participation, transparency, and the use of data in decision-making, highlighting their impact on academic performance and institutional climate. Also, we analyze several decision-making models, from the centralized approach, in which management has a dominant role, to participatory models, which encourage the involvement of teachers, students and parents.<br><br></p>
