- <p>The subject of the study is the methodology for assessing the effectiveness of an enterprise’s competitive position<br>The aim of the study is to deepen theoretical and methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of an enterprise’s competitive policy implementation<br>Research methods: taxonomic analysis, competitiveness polygon, generalization, systematization, comparison.<br>Research objectives: to evaluate the effectiveness of the competitive policy of a sample of wood processing and wood product manufacturing enterprises.<br>Results of the work. The level of competition intensity in activities related to wood processing and the manufacture of wood products was assessed, a methodological approach to assessing the effectiveness of the implementation of an enterprise’s competitive policy was proposed, based on the method of taxonomic analysis and a set of indicators for assessing elements of an enterprise’s competitive policy, The level of competitiveness of the sample of enterprises was assessed according to the peaks of local indices.<br>Scope of application of the results: analytical departments of all types of economic activity<br>Conclusions. Testing of the proposed methodology for assessing the effectiveness of competition policy implementation revealed different levels of competitive activity, financial potential for its implementation, and the focus of communication policy for its development. The assessed local indices allow identifying directions for further management decisions aimed at changing the maintenance or change of the competitive policy of the enterprises in the research sample.<br>The assessed competitiveness index revealed significant differences between the leaders and outsiders of the research sample, which may be a sign of possible structural changes in the market.</p>
