-
This file contains source code (text) for analyses performed with SAS statistical software version 9.4 supporting a register-based cohort study titled: "A national cohort study of long-term opioid prescription and sociodemographic and health care-related risk factors". The aim of the study was to analyze the risk of long-term use after an initial opioid prescription in a national cohort of five-year opioid-naïve adults and examine associated sociodemographic and health care-related risk factors. The study included register data from sources overseen by Statistics Sweden and the National Board of Health and Welfare. The text contains analyses for a multinomial and binomial logistic regression models and two sensitivity analyses where the refill-gap period was decreased to 120- and 90-days respectively.
