•
Building on Papers I and II, we apply the Orion coherence framework to cosmology.
We show that dark energy emerges naturally as coherence leakage across the de Sitter floor, modeled by a leakage function C(z) = 1/(1+αΘ(z)) with α ≈ 0.7.
We further demonstrate that dark matter arises from coherence freeze, parameterized as f(z) ∝ (1+z)^p with p ≈ –1.035, yielding Ω_m ≈ 0.28 today.
At high redshift, Orion reduces to ΛCDM, ensuring consistency with the CMB, while at low redshift it predicts suppressed matter-to-dark-energy ratio and clustering evolution consistent with current tensions in S₈ and H₀.
Together, these results unify dark energy and dark matter as coherence bookkeeping effects, requiring no cosmological constant or exotic new particles.
Orion thus provides a coherence-based cosmology with falsifiable predictions testable by DESI, Rubin, and Euclid.

Version 2 (September 2025):
This update clarifies the status of the cosmological extension.

Added explicit disclaimer that the framework is preliminary and phenomenological.

Parameters (α ≈ 0.7, p ≈ –1.035) are presented as provisional fits rather than constants.

Added closing caveat that the current formulation does not replace ΛCDM and requires a conserving dynamical model with full data testing.

Overall, this version is transparent about limitations while preserving the motivating framework.

john@northernlights.co.nz
