•
This manifesto addresses the urgent need for safety and responsibility in the development and deployment of artificial intelligence. Current AI systems are not merely neutral tools; they are powerful structures with the potential to cause significant social, environmental, and individual harm through their outputs and recommendations. The manifesto outlines six guiding principles — Do No Harm, Transparency and Accountability, Preventive Safety, Age and Sensitivity Gating, Social Oversight, and Human-Centered Language — and sets forth concrete demands for developers, policymakers, and civil society. The goal is not to destroy AI but to transform it into a trustworthy ally of humanity’s collective wisdom. By insisting on preventive safeguards, independent audits, and restorative communication practices, this work calls for a global framework that ensures AI serves people, nature, and future generations, rather than profit and power alone.
