- <p><i>Buchwaldoboletus</i> Pilát, Friesia 9 (1–2): 217, 1969</p><p><i>Buchwaldoboletus</i>, typified by <i>B. lignicola</i>, is mainly characterized by its saprotrophic and lignicolous lifestyle, a dry, pulverulent to tomentose pileus, yellow to golden hymenophore changing blue when injured, and an interwoven pileipellis (Pilát 1969; Ortiz-Santana and Both 2011; Wu et al. 2016). Until now, two species, viz. <i>B. lignicola</i> and <i>B. xylophilus</i> have been confirmed to occur in China (Wu et al. 2016; Xie et al. 2021).</p>
