  • <p><em><span lang="EN-US">In the modern era, digital platforms, including artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT, have become increasingly accessible for educational purposes. This study employed a quantitative approach to examine the impact of ChatGPT on the confidence levels of high school students in mathematics. The participants were 29 students who had primarily relied on conventional study methods prior to high school. Over the course of the study, students were assigned weekly challenging mathematics problems and were encouraged to use ChatGPT as a supplementary resource. Pretests and posttests were administered to assess confidence levels, and data were analyzed using paired t-tests. The results revealed a significant improvement in students’ confidence in mathematics after the intervention, though no significant differences were observed in anxiety levels. These findings suggest that ChatGPT has the potential to enhance mathematics confidence among students, while further research is needed to address its role in reducing anxiety.</span></em></p>
