By identifying gaps and proposing strategic interventions, the study aims to contribute to the sustainable and inclusive growth of the tourism sector in Bagalkot district, thereby enhancing its appeal as a prominent tourist destination. Tourism plays a crucial role in the economic development of Bagalkot district, Karnataka, by contributing to employment generation, revenue creation, and cultural preservation. This study examines the impact of tourism on the district’s economy, with a focus on key attractions such as Badami, Aihole, and Pattadakal—renowned for their historical and architectural significance. The research highlights how tourism fosters local entrepreneurship, enhances infrastructure, and supports allied industries such as hospitality, transportation, and handicrafts. Additionally, it explores the challenges faced by the sector, including inadequate facilities, environmental concerns, and the need for sustainable tourism policies. The findings suggest that strategic investment, community involvement, and government initiatives can significantly boost tourism’s contribution to the district’s economic growth. By leveraging its rich heritage and natural landscapes, Bagalkot has the potential to emerge as a major cultural tourism hub in Karnataka.</span></em></p> <p> </p>
