- <p><em><span>This study ascertained the effect of digital payment systems on small business enterprises performance in Awka. Survey research study was employed. The population of this study consists of the staff of Everyday Supermarket, Awka, Anambra State. Data were generated from the questionnaires administered to the respondents. Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) was employed. The study revealed that the types of digital payment systems adopted have a strong and positive influence on financial performance (r = 0.832, p = 0.000). Overall, digital payment systems serve as critical tools for improving financial processes, but overcoming their associated challenges is essential for maximizing their impact on small business sustainability. Based on the finding, the study recommended that the adoption of Multiple Digital Payment Channels: Small businesses, including Everyday Supermarket, should broaden their use of mobile banking, POS, online transfers, and digital wallets to further strengthen cash flow management and financial reporting efficiency.</span></em></p>
