-
Today, almost every organization depends on technology, and because of this, cyberattacks like phishing, ransomware, malware, and data breaches are increasing. While security tools are useful, this study shows that strong cybersecurity policies are the real foundation of safety in any organization. This research also considers well-known security standards such as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and guidelines from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to understand their role in protecting data.Data for the study was collected through a Google Forms questionnaire and analyzed using Python. The results show that many organizations already have cybersecurity policies, provide training to employees, and use tools such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and encryption. Among all threats, phishing is the most common. The study concludes that when organizations have clear policies, regular training, and support from leadership, they can reduce cyber risks and protect their data, systems, and reputation.
