•
The present study explores the communicative approach in foreign language teaching and evaluates its effectiveness in developing learners’ linguistic, pragmatic, and intercultural competencies. Unlike traditional methods that focus on memorization and repetitive exercises, the communicative approach emphasizes meaningful interaction, task-based learning, and authentic language use. The research highlights how learner-centered strategies, including role-plays, collaborative projects, and real-life communication scenarios, enhance fluency, accuracy, and confidence. Additionally, the integration of cultural and sociolinguistic aspects fosters intercultural awareness and pragmatic competence. The findings indicate that the communicative approach not only improves language proficiency but also promotes motivation, engagement, and learner autonomy, making it a highly relevant methodology for contemporary foreign language education.
