Aurkibidea:
-
The intensification of climate change and urbanization aggravates
drainage problems in coastal cities such as Santos-SP, due to soil
impermeabilization and increasingly frequent extreme rainfall events. This study
evaluates the feasibility of sustainable solutions, such as permeable pavements and
rain gardens, in the Canal 4 sub-basin, using hydraulic-hydrological modeling in
MIKE+. Rainfall, flow, topographic, and land-use data were employed, with
calibration based on statistical metrics such as the Coefficient of Determination
(R²) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). The results confirmed the effectiveness
of these alternatives in reducing flood risks compared to the current system.
