- <p><span lang="EN-US">The use of local alternative fuels will contribute to the rational use of agricultural waste, maintain environmental stability and help Ukraine achieve energy independence. Studies of the thermal characteristics (heat of combustion, humidity, ash content) of some types of fuels have been conducted.</span></p> <p><span lang="EN-US">Empirical formulas for calculating the heat of combustion of composite fuels containing wheat straw, sunflower husks, sludge, chicken droppings and manure have been proposed. The studied energy crops, crop and furniture production was te can be valuable raw materials for the production of fuel pellets and briquettes.</span></p>
