•
This paper analyzes and designs an information system for laboratory testing at PT Ganesha Satu, focusing on digitizing the Laboratory Job Order (LJO) process to address inefficiencies in the current manual system, which involves physical documentation, data redundancy, and delays in sample registration, testing, and result distribution. The study identifies key issues through observation, interviews, and literature review, then proposes a web-based prototype using PHP-CI, PostgreSQL, and Webix, incorporating features like online sample registration, multi-item test selection, real-time status monitoring, automated report generation, and master data management to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards. The system design includes Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERD), database structures, and Black-Box Testing for validation, aiming to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in laboratory operations. Ultimately, the prototype demonstrates potential to reduce processing times, minimize errors, and improve user experience for departments such as R&D, QC, and Production, while providing a scalable foundation for future full-scale implementation at the company.
