- <p><span lang="EN-US">The medicinal plant <em>Peliosanthes micrantha</em> of Vietnam has been studied recently. Two</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">components, one of which was β-sitosterol</span><span lang="EN-US">, were isolated. </span><em><span lang="EN-US">P. micrantha</span></em><span lang="EN-US"> rhizomes were first extracted by ethanol (PM-R-ET)</span><span lang="VI">. </span><span lang="EN-US">β-sitosterol</span><span lang="EN-US"> was then</span><span lang="VI"> isolated </span><span lang="EN-US">as a standard compound. High-performance liquid chromatography method (HPLC) was validated and used for the quantification of </span><span lang="EN-US">β-sitosterol</span><span lang="EN-US"> in the </span><span lang="VI">extract</span><span lang="EN-US">. We concluded in this study that </span><span lang="EN-US">β-sitosterol content was </span><span lang="EN-US">significant at 0.71 mg/g of fresh <em>P. micrantha</em> rhizome</span><span lang="VI"> extract.</span></p>
