-
This work presents a systematic analysis of the global topology of the Universe based on fundamental physical and methodological principles. The study focuses on the role of connectedness, absence of boundaries, and compactness as necessary conditions for a physically meaningful cosmological description, independent of model-dependent dynamical parameters.

A key objective of the work is to reverse the standard logical order adopted in cosmology: instead of inferring global topology from specific cosmological models, the topology of the Universe is established first and then used to constrain admissible classes of cosmological solutions. The analysis demonstrates that the requirements of causality, conservation laws, and operational definability lead to a compact, simply connected topology, which is identified with the three-sphere (S³). This result is shown to be consistent both with topological considerations and with a comparative physical analysis of different classes of Friedmann cosmological solutions.

The work also includes a critical examination of the standard ΛCDM model from a methodological perspective, with particular attention to the postulate of expanding space, the interpretation of cosmological redshift, and the introduction of non-observable and non-falsifiable entities such as dark energy, inflation, and causally inaccessible regions. It is argued that these elements arise as auxiliary constructs required to preserve the underlying postulates of the model rather than as direct consequences of observation.

This document is published as a preprint and represents a preliminary version of the work. The text has not undergone final editorial revision and does not yet include a complete bibliographic apparatus. The purpose of this version is to fix the logical structure of the analysis, the main results, and the priority of the proposed approach. Future versions may include stylistic refinements and expanded references without changes to the conceptual content.
