A broader conceptual view emerges when buoyancy becomes reframed as a natural tendency toward gradient coherence. Density variation becomes one layer of a multi-scale rebalancing process, where geometries, fields, and energy distributions converge toward stable relational organization. This perspective aligns buoyancy with a class of self-organizing behaviors expressed across physical systems, including fluids, atmospheres, and magnetized plasmas. The purpose of this perspective paper involves highlighting coherence as an organizing concept and outlining consequences for theory development, pedagogy, and cross-disciplinary intuition.
