contents
This technical-strategic report examines the structural reintegration of nitrogen fertilizer production within Brazil’s downstream industrial configuration for the period 2026–2035.

It analyzes the restart of nitrogen fertilizer plants (FAFEN-BA, FAFEN-SE, ANSA) and the projected completion of UFN-III in the context of refining integration, gas allocation dynamics, regulatory incentives (PROFERT), and climate-related supply risks (La Niña).

The study evaluates economic viability through gas netback analysis, international urea price benchmarks (CFR Brazil), and domestic industrial integration mechanisms including hydrogen balance optimization and shared utilities.

Particular attention is given to the industrial trade-off between thermoelectric dispatch and industrial gas supply, identifying operational risks for fertilizer plants during high-demand electricity cycles.

This publication is based exclusively on publicly available data and industrial-economic analysis.
