Alvarenga leg.</p><p><b>Type specimen examined.</b></p><p><i>Holotype</i> (MZSP) male, dry pinned, with genitalia in a separate slide. Borgmeier. ” // “ Coleção BORGMEIER Fapesp - 1967 ” // “ MZSP 00528 ” // “ MZSP 00528 ”.</p><p><b>Diagnosis.</b></p><p>Body less robust, head oval, pronotum longer than wide and subconical, and prominent tubercles over the body as in <i>E. brevicornis</i>, <i>E. longiceps</i>, <i>E. soesilae</i>, <i>E. tuberculosus</i>, and <i>E. volans</i>. From <i>E. brevicornis</i>, it differs by antennomeres 6–10 transverse (as long as wide in <i>E. brevicornis</i>) and by each elytron with three rows of tubercles (4 in <i>E. brevicornis</i>), from <i>E. longiceps</i> by larger eyes, from <i>E. tuberculosus</i> by antennae of the same length as head (~ 2 × longer than head in <i>E. tuberculosus</i>), and from <i>E. soesilae</i> and <i>E. volans</i> by each elytron with three rows of tubercles (5 rows in other two species).</p><p><b>Additional characters.</b></p><p>Antennae (Fig. 9 F) with scape as long as antennomeres 2–6 combined; antennomeres 2 and 3 subequal in size; antennomeres 2–5 longer than wide; antennomeres 6–10 transverse, slightly increasing in width towards apex; antennomere 11 shorter than 10; labrum (Fig. 10 F) with three denticles, median one deeply emarginate and lateral pair closer to lateral emargination than to median denticle. Abdomen with tergites III – V and paratergites of III and IV bearing small tubercles; sternites III – VI with ridges extending beyond posterior margin and few lateral tubercles. Aedeagus (Fig. 13 L, M) with median lobe short and stout, with truncate and short dorsal strut; apex of median lobe somewhat wide rounded.</p><p><b>Measurements.</b></p><p>TL: 5.0; HL: 1.31; HW: 0.68; PL: 1.1; PW: 0.69; EL: 1.05; EW: 1.05; LA: 0.7.</p><p><b>Distribution.</b></p><p>BRAZIL, Amapá (Fig. 15).</p><p><b>Host ant.</b></p><p><i>Labidus praedator</i>.</p>
