•
The article examines modern models of interaction between microcontroller-based devices and cloud infrastructure within distributed systems. Architectural approaches such as Device-to-Cloud, Device-to-Gateway-toCloud, and Edge/Fog Computing are analyzed, defining the principles of integrating low-level devices with highlevel IT platforms. The impact of data transmission protocol selection (MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, message brokers) on system reliability, security, and scalability is emphasized. Particular attention is given to issues of energy efficiency, fault tolerance, and data flow management. Examples of technology implementation in industrial and corporate IoT infrastructures are provided. The results of the study demonstrate the necessity of a comprehensive approach to architecture design that unites hardware, software, and cloud components.
