- <p><b><i>Coelonia fulvinotata</i> (Butler, 1875c)</b></p><p>COMMON NAME(S): Fulvous hawk or Fulvous Sphinx.</p><p>SYNONYM(S): <i>Protoparce mauritii</i> Butler, 1877a; <i>Coelonia nigrescens</i> Basquin, 1992.</p><p>IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).</p><p>DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Nigeria, Réunion, Rwanda, S„o Tomé and Príncipe, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Zambia, Zimbabwe.</p><p>LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Lusaka, in Lusaka Province; Kabwe, in Central Province.</p><p>LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include: one Verbenaceae species (<i>Lantana camara</i> L.), one Oleaceae species (<i>Fraxinus floribunda</i> Wall.) and one Lamiaceae species (<i>Volkameria heterophylla</i> Poir.) in the Réunion (Martiré & Rochat 2008); one Asteraceae species (<i>Dahlia pinnata</i> Cav.), one Verbenaceae species (<i>Duranta erecta</i> L.) and one Solanaceae species (<i>Solanum</i> sp.) in South Africa (Fawcett 1901; van den Berg <i>et al</i>. 1975); one Verbenaceae species (<i>Duranta</i> sp.) in Madagascar (Griveaud 1959). Two Verbenaceae species (<i>Gmelina arborea</i> Roxb. and <i>Lantana camara</i> L.), two Lamiaceae species (<i>Clerodendrum splendens</i> G.Don and <i>Clerodendrum paniculatum</i> L.), two Solanaceae species (<i>Solanum torvum</i> Sw. and <i>Lycopersicon esculentum</i> Mill.) and one Bignoniaceae species (<i>Newbouldia</i> sp.) in Nigeria (Delf & Harris 1964; MacNulty 1970); four Solanaceae species (<i>Solanum melongena</i> L., <i>S. torvum</i> Sw., <i>Lycopersicon esculentum</i> Mill. and <i>S. verbascifolium</i> L.), two Verbenaceae species (<i>Duranta erecta</i> L. and <i>Lantana africana L.</i>) and one Bignoniaceae species (<i>Kigelia africana</i> (Lam.) Benth.) in Côte d’Ivoire (Vuattoux <i>et al</i>. 1989) and one Solanaceae species (<i>Lycopersicon esculentum</i> Mill.) in Uganda (Nyiira 1973).</p><p>The following are listed as larval food plants of the taxon in the countries listed above: two Verbenaceae species <i>Lantana camara</i> L., <i>Duranta erecta</i> L.), one Oleaceae species (<i>Fraxinus floribunda</i> Wall.), three Lamiaceae species (<i>Volkameria heterophylla</i> Poir., <i>Clerodendrum paniculatum</i> L. and <i>C. splendens</i> G.Don), one Boraginaceae species (<i>Cordia caffra</i> Sond.), one Asteraceae species (<i>Dahlia pinnata</i> Cav.), one Convolvulaceae species (<i>Ipomoea</i> sp.), two Bignoniaceae species (<i>Markhamia lutea</i> (Benth.) K.Schum. and <i>Spathodea campanulata</i> P.Beauv.), one Acanthaceae species (<i>Acanthus pubescens</i> (Oliv.) Engl.), one Gesneriaceae species (<i>Aeschynanthus longicaulis</i> Wall. ex R.Br.) and one Solanaceaespecies (<i>Solanum torvum</i> Sw.)
