- <p><b><i>Temnora livida</i> (Holland, 1889)</b></p><p>COMMON NAME(S): Hawk moth, Sphinx moth or Hornworm.</p><p>SYNONYM(S): None.</p><p>IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).</p><p>DISTRIBUTION: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia.</p><p>LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Lusaka, in Lusaka Province; Ndola, in Copperbelt Province.</p><p>LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): One Rubiaceae species (<i>Psychotria</i> sp.) and one Hypericaceae species (<i>Harungana madagascariensis</i> Lam. ex Poir.) are reported as host plants of the taxon in unnamed African countries (MacNulty 1970). The African Moths (2019) webpage indicated that one Rubiaceae species (<i>Psychotria</i> sp.) and one Hypericaceae species (<i>Harungana madagascariensis</i> Lam. ex Poir.) are larval foodplants of the taxon.</p><p>SOURCES: African Moths 2019; D’Abrera 1987; De Prins & De Prins 2022; MacNulty 1970.</p>
