-
This report documents the outcomes of a five-day multisectoral workshop held in Tunis in July 2025 under the joint WHO–ISS initiative, aimed at strengthening One Health (OH) integrated surveillance for priority zoonotic and vector-borne diseases in Libya. The workshop brought together stakeholders from human, animal, and environmental sectors to collaboratively design OH surveillance systems through structured group work and guided exercises. Participants worked in multisectoral teams to define the scope, actors, and characteristics of surveillance systems, agree on joint surveillance activities, and outline practical requirements in terms of governance, resources, and capacities needed for implementation. The report captures the collective outputs of these discussions, including the development of coordinated surveillance approaches, identification of system components such as data collection, risk assessment, and early warning, and the formulation of feasible, context-relevant actions to support the establishment of integrated OH surveillance systems in Libya.
