- <p>This dataset contains anonymised gesture mini-clips collected during a Wizard-of-Oz user study investigating hand-gesture control for fighting games. The testbed was Tekken 8, and the character used was Paul Phoenix, hence the moveset belongs to the same. Each clip corresponds to one annotated gesture event and is centered on the gesture with approximately ±2.5 seconds of temporal buffer. Due to this buffer, neighbouring gestures may partially appear in the clip, but the primary gesture is always centered.</p> <p>Recordings include two synchronized camera views per participant: a front view (handshape and articulation focus) and a top view (spatial trajectory focus). Audio has been removed from all clips. Participants are anonymised (P001–P010).</p> <p>The dataset may be used for gesture recognition research, segmentation studies, embodied interaction analysis, and robustness testing under speed constraints.</p> <p>Data was collected as part of an MSc thesis in Interaction Technology at the University of Twente (2026).<br>The associated replication repository is available at: https://github.com/Wahaj6Ahmad/beyond-buttons-woz-gestures</p>
